Contemporary and casual, traditional and elegant, Tom Torrens' creations meld art and function. Based in Gig Harbor, Washington, this world-renown metal sculptor is famous for his birdbaths, bells, fountains and furniture. All of his works adhere to this philosophy: They transcend the static nature of traditional sculpture by changing with the wind or the flow of the water. His work is found in many private collections throughout the world - in gardens, homes, offices and commercial structures. He holds a master's degree in fine arts from Washington Univ. in St. Louis and taught sculpture on the university level for 15 years. REPLOGLE Globes commissioned Torrens to sculpt this line of globe stands. There are 6 bold floor models. Styles available for offices, lobbies, or living rooms.
